The Wings of Compassion: Parrot Rescue and Family Education Initiative will benefit abandoned, neglected, and displaced parrots, as well as children and families in Central California communities. The program will rescue and rehabilitate 40 parrots while engaging over 300 children and parents in interactive workshops that teach compassion, animal welfare, and responsible pet care. The $50,000 grant will directly fund parrot medical treatment, nutrition, and enrichment, provide educational materials and staffing for family programs, and support community outreach that connects people and animals through learning, empathy, and shared stewardship. |
