| Description |
As an organization, LCAA's mission and objective is to operate, manage, and financially maintain the CML American Legion facility for the benefit of serving community users in Beeville. LCAA determines its annual operating budget based on previous year funding requirements, which in 2024 estimated in excess of $13,000. However, due to continuing rising operational expenses, and the depletion of $2,000 in response to unexpected repairs caused by vandalized damages to the facility, LCAA's existing operational budget is facing a severe deficit and a major concern. Because of this financial concern, efforts that include increasing facility rental fees and membership dues, conducting food sales events, and making facility marketing presentations have been taken to raise funds. However, achieving our foreseeable financial goal has not yet been met. And for this reason, LCAA is requesting your support in granting funds to assist in meeting financial operational needs. Funds from this grant are greatly needed to assist LCAA's mission to continue operation of the CML American Legion facility, resulting ultimately in offering recreational and social enrichment to Beeville community users and to individuals throughout surrounding communities. |
| Benefits |
Beeville currently has limited facilities available for individuals to conduct personal and private recreational social activities and events. Fortunately, however, through Lott-Canada Alumni Association (LCAA) operation and maintenance of the CML American Legion facility, an opportunity is afforded for Beeville community users, consisting of veterans, seniors, and youth a facility for use. Thus, use of the American Legion facility results in the aid of fostering and satisfying the need for social enrichment in Beeville and surrounding communities. |
