Description |
Syria has been in a protracted war since 2011 and the population that has been most negatively impacted is the children. According to UNICEF, there are up to 5 million Syrian children who need urgent assistance. In some parts of Syria there are children who have missed at least 4 years of school due to the ongoing conflict. Assisting this vulnerable population is of utmost urgency to save the youth and the future of Syria. This project will provide the opportunity for Syrian school-age children who have missed at least 4 years or more of education an opportunity to go to school for one academic year by providing them with scholarships and the aid they need. With a grant of $10,000.00 we can provide aid and send at least 30 children who have never been to school an opportunity to learn how to read and write. |
