| Used for | We want to continue our push for clean water for citizens, produce delivered to the elderly as well as meals twice a month for the clients receiving certifications in CPR/AED, Hospitality, and NARCAN training for Opioid overdose. We are trying to incorporate in a population that doesn't normally work to learn how to work, plus be a responsible father, mother, citizen , receive free parenting training from in kind counselors down the hall at our parent non profit. We want to serve meals twice monthly and have the working clients bring their children to learn about full wrap around services. |
| Benefits | Teaching the under served benefits everyone. It takes a population that have been on welfare there whole life and teaches them to be self sufficiency and to contribute to other causes and needs through out the country .We will use these funds to assist people from all cultures and access the whole community. |
| Proposal Description | Flint STRIVE is a 19 day training program , funded by Charles and Ruth Mott Foundations respectively. We helped 221 adults last year (2019) and 45 youth garner employment. We had lead abatement training and certifications here, Cpr/ AED and OSHA 10. We help people get off of government assistance. Each client wears a suit and tie or business dress daily. We teach proper work place ethics. We want to add and have been offered additional funding from Ruth Mott if we garner your assistance to teach these clients holistic work place ethics. How to manage money. How to buy a car. Credit repair, parenting techniques, low cost meals, reading, and other skills they see as a need. We want to teach low cost dinner preparation. We want to provide counseling ,A majority of the counseling is in kind but not all. Please consider our request. Enclosed are the pictures from water drive you provided |
