| Description | During the Spring of 2014, The Texas Baroque Ensemble will be traveling to various locations in Texas to perform Messiah, by G. F. Handel. Two of these concerts, specifically one in San Antonio and another in Beeville, will be fundraisers for two hospitals. The performance at The Chapel of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, will be focusing on the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. The event in Beeville will reach out in a more national and international scope and emphasize and Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital. |
| Used for | Any funds given to The Texas Baroque Ensemble will allow the ensemble to travel and perform in Rural South Texas. The Ensemble will be performing on April 27, 2014 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Beeville. The money will allow the ensemble to perform virtually pro bono, and allow any monies collected at the event to be given to the organization which is being highlighted during the concert. |
| Benefits | The work of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital is legendary in concept and scope. The concert, which is being held in Beeville, is conceived as a mission of both Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church and Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church whose goal is to draw attention to the work and needs of that institution. Saint Jude Children’s Hospital does not turn any children away who need treatment, especially cancer treatments, nor do the parents pay for any of the cost. |
