Additional Information
Used for Provide youth ages 17-24 with safe housing, recovery services and education. The Freehab facility has 50 beds dedicated to youth. There are almost 4,000 youth living on the streets of Los Angeles without hope for a future.
Benefits Our kids have a short window of opportunity prior to becoming habitually homeless. Studies have shown that the majority of people surviving great adversity will dedicate their lives to helping others once recovered. Youth ages 17-24 are less than 2% of our total population, yet 100% of our future.
Proposal Description With the majority of Los Angeles treatment centers charging from $10,000 to $80,000 per month for recovery services, America's throw away children have almost no hope for survival. Your grant will provide our kids with a change for a future.

The Teen Project Drop in Center in Venice Beach has a satelite office and assessment center for homeless youth in need of safe shelter and recovery services. Once assessed, youth are transported to the Freehab facility.

Our program is 90 days to 6 months in duration. Your grant will provide 20 youth ages 17-24 with full room and board, recovery services and education, job training and job placement. Your grant will cover all living expenses, food and job training services (instructor and materials).

Phase I - Residents are admitted in single dormatories to begin their work on the 12 steps.
Phase II - Residents transition to smaller dormatories and begin more intensive individual counseling and begin aftercare plans. This is also where job training services begin.
Phase III - Clients are prepared for life beyond treatment with job skills and job placement with our corporate partners.
