Youth Development

The Boys & Girls Club of Beeville is a private youth organization dedicated to providing programs of educational, physical, vocational and recreational activities during the youth’s free time beyond school, home and church. We provide opportunities for the youth to spend their free time in wholesome atmosphere using their minds, hands and bodies in constructive behavior which is off the streets. Our services are varied and diversified. They recognize and respond to the collective and individual needs of boys and girls in appropriately separate age groups. These services help the youth make appropriate choices within the components of our program.

The Boys & Girls Club of Beeville serves youth ages 6 through 18. The children we serve are 67% Hispanic, 3% African American and 30% Anglo. They attend Beeville, Pettus, Pawnee and Skidmore-Tynan public schools. We also serve Youth from St. Mary’s Academy, St. Philips Episcopal school, and First Baptist Church Schools. The children as stated before in Community conditions are from low socio economic backgrounds.

The final product the Boys & Girls Club is looking for is a drug free youth that is capable of making sound decisions that benefit them in their future endeavors. These youth learn to deal with different cultures, ethnicities, social classes and authority figures.

For self Evaluation purposes we use the Commitment to Quality from the pervious year which is designed to assist us in upgrading the quality of our core services. We also use Boys & Girls Club of America Standards of Organizational Effectiveness (SOE) which if required by the national Organization of Boys & Girls Club of America.

Our year around program offers boys and girls ages 6 through 18, with safe and challenging opportunities to serve in leadership roles. Participants also learn practical and social skills that they will be able to apply in real-world situations.
