Additional Information
Used for The money will directly support creative educational programs that focus on teaching owners and handlers a wide range of techniques to prevent abuse of horses. We will also produce new materials and current articles to emphasize the importance of education. Our hope is to use the funds to further network with equine professionals and bring abuse issues to forefront of horse training.
Benefits The money will benefit the world by bringing to light the great need for understanding, patience and compassion. Learning to treat our animals with love and caring, puts us on the road to learning to treat one another with love and caring. Learning, experience, knowledge and education can bring us closer to the kind of empathy required to truly care for animals, the planet and each other.
Proposal Description The new educational program can benefit every horse owners, handlers and others. It includes updated news and information on the website and a monthly e-newsletters. We are also including an introduction to specific yoga techniques for equestrians, a practice that inherently teaches compassion through meditation and breathing and benefits horse riders on many levels. Yoga is a non-threatening way to reach people. It can illuminate many lessons, helping horse owners to make conscious choices and teach them how to put their own agendas aside when dealing with horses.

The grant funds will be used to support the development of news and educational materials, as well as support the important marketing of the website to help us reach a larger number of equestrians, horse owners and horse handlers.
Marketing of the website will include linking to other important websites and a direct mail flyer. The funds will help us buy six paid ads about the Equine Fund website to attract more website visitors. We will use the funds to attend a tradeshow to get the word out about what The Equine Fund can offer equestrians and work to introduce an equine yoga demonstrations to help get people interested and draw them to the website.
