Description | Charity League, organized in 1934, is a unique charitable organization in the Corpus Christi area made up of 40 women. Each year in August we accept applications from various area organizations that are in need of help with a specific improvement. We do not help organizations with operating expenses. After choosing the recipient each year, we request funds from foundations, local businesses, family and friends. One hundred percent of funds raised goes to the selected charity. Last year we raised $195,060 for the Ark Assessment Center and Emercency Shelter for Youth to build a new building to house more children that have been abused or neglected. |
Used for | A new mobile clinic would be more reliable, dignified, user-friendly, and professional. (The current unit is 11 years old.) Repairs of the current RV are becoming too costly, and money spent on repairs could be spent on medical equipment and prescriptions |
